MERMAIDS: are morally ambiguous creatures, the earliest Mermaid legend appeared when a goddess dove into a lake to take the form of a fish. As the gods there would not allow her to give up her great beauty, only her bottom half became a fish, and she kept her top half in human form. they are known as beautiful aquatic creatures that used their voices to enchant sailors and fall in love with them.

SIRENS: in early Greek mythology, were half-women, half-bird creatures, they are predators, killers, and dangerous creatures. They seduced sailors with their voices and exotic bodies. Sirens were said to be always malicious and dangerous, attracting sailors with their captivating voices towards the hazardous rocky coast of their island and subsequent death.

OANNES: had the form of a fish with the head of a human, under his fish’s head, and under his fish’s tail the feet of a man. In the daytime he came up to the seashore and instructed mankind. Oannes, was the emissary of the God of the fresh and salt water deep and wisdom.
